Karunya Nidhi is programme of compassion undertaken by NSJVS.
Karunya Nidhi was launched in April 2014.
Under Karunya Nidhi, chronically ill people in poor families are provided a monthly financial support to buy medicines and medical equipment.

Key features of the programme include:
- Financial support of Rs.1000 each for 20 families which have bed-ridden or chronic patients per month in Nenmeni GP
- Total financial assistance of Rs. 1912856 has been provided since the launch of the programme.
- 5% of the minimum water charge collected from society members is being set aside for the Karunya Fund
- Certain individual beneficiaries have also contributed some funds to Karunya Nidhi.
- Beneficiaries under Karunya Nidhi are selected by the SLEC of NSJVS from the applications received by NSJVS and subject to direct visit and scrutiny of applicant details by a sub-committee of NSJVS-EC
